Silence is the soul’s door to the contemplation of the Divine or at least to the Spiritual. However, there is the silence by omission, by personal convenience, by evilness. Finally, there is the silence that reveals moral effort. Just don’t mistake silence by wisdom: in most cases, it is nothing more than a complete lack of something intelligent to say.
