Let us beware of the false humility and the hypocritical moralism that sadly prevail in the world, especially in religious circles.
Chico Xavier used, by the guidance of his Spiritual Guide Emmanuel, all the media that existed at the time, to publicize his work, including appearing in several TV programs, in national networks, and traveling frequently to receive honors and tributes, in public functions. Because of this, he was sacrilegiously accused of being vain by many, taken by their rage of jealousy, meanness and/or malice.
“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good deeds and glorify God”— asserted Jesus Himself (Matthew 5:16).
In an age of such spiritual disorientation, what forces are inspiring those who do not take kindly to movements that spread messages of enlightenment and consolation of multitudes?
