In a more accurate observation, both from biology’s perspective, which integrates molecules and cells to organisms and ecosystems, as from physics’ point of view, which does not define boundaries among objects and beings (integrating them to one another, at the subatomic level), reality, as a whole, is a continuum.
In the final analysis, the whole Universe is a seamless fabric that reflects Itself, such as a magnificent multidimensional kaleidoscope – which used to be interpreted in the days of primordial Christianity, though the expression does not fully translate the idea, as “the communion of the saints of God”.
The incompleteness lies in the aspect of excluding from this metaphorical conceptual matrix the dark side of individuals, of events and of life itself, such as infirmity, pain and physical death.
Unfortunately, despite the importance of tackling the subject [of the undivided fundamental reality of the Universe], great care needs to be taken in the dissemination of this more advanced type of ponderation, psychologically, philosophically and spiritually speaking. This is because the transcendence of pairs of opposites and, in particular, of Manichaeism may sound, for primitive and/or too egoic minds, a praise for cynicism or for the lack of ethics and spiritual principles, when it is exactly the inverse: a refinement of the perception of right and wrong, a deepening and complexification of the understanding of morality and spirituality, obviously including, in considering a broader and more realistic spectrum of evolution, an infinite scale of stages of development of the feelings.
It is from the perspective of this more expanded worldview, for example, that one can support and encourage piety for someone who fell into the traps of crime, yet without ever approving, however, the criminal act.
Therefore, may no one deny or ignore the existence of evil in the world, but understand, through the acknowledgement of its presence within and outside themselves, that they have the opportunity to choose the practice of good, even if in a regimen of perpetual combat, learning and work, promoting the gradual establishment of the “Kingdom of God”, within one’s own heart and in the heart of the whole earthly humanity.
