Sublime art

Whenever you feel tired or sad, angry or discouraged, irritated or jealous, excited or euphoric, redouble your attention – what Our Lord Jesus called “vigilance.”

It is precisely in these moments of heightened desires, emotions and passions that the floodgates of the psyche are most vulnerable to assaults by the forces of darkness, of disintegration, of evil.

Having faith, patience, hope and good cheer when all is well is expectable, reasonable and natural. Understand, then, that the time of greater pain is also the time of greater opportunity to generate and develop values for the eternal spirit.

Do you want greater spiritual power? Endure greater trials, adversities and inner needs with gallantry, productivity and optimism. By making your crisis a source of creativity and renewal, you will achieve mastery in the sublime art of transcendence.

Tranquility amidst chaos

Do not allow yourself to be intoxicated by the flood of distressing news from reputable press outlets that have been spewing out perspectives of horror with panic-inducing touches, be it in the information concerning the planetary climate crisis and the pandemonium that seems to be spreading in geopolitics, or in the alarming trends related to the inevitable loss of professional opportunities and occupations in the face of the advance of artificial intelligence.

Crises often reach paroxysms of severity before entering a stage of resolution. The evolution of individuals and peoples never follows linear or predictable paths.

Despair is never an alternative to solving any problem. Calm your heart. Take comfort and rejoice in the unrestricted trust in the Infinite Benevolence of the Goddess-Mother.

Do what is within the scope of your responsibilities, respecting the realistic range of your inner potentials and of external resources that you can mobilize.

Thus, persisting in your post of service to the common good, rest in the peace of the feeling of duty fulfilled, aware that the rest will be provided by the Perfect Intelligence of the All-Loving and All-Widom Being.

The capital importance of forgiveness

Forgiveness is neither a poetic abstraction nor a mere religious rule or moralistic dictum. Forgiveness configures the psychological and spiritual excellence of a state of lucidity and serenity that allows the individual to detach themselves from the idea and feeling of personal attack and, simultaneously, to grant themselves the blessing of detoxification from destructive mental patterns and of detachment from situations, beings or human groupings.

In other words, forgiveness can often be followed by the distancing from people and environments, without, however, implying resentment or ill will toward others, as well as, in its best expressions, it can even manifest contours of compassion for creatures or communities that have shown themselves to be trapped in vicious cycles of unhappiness and malevolence.

Those who do not develop their potential for forgiveness, which is indispensable for life in society, on all scales of intimacy or distance of the ties, seriously compromise their chances of a relatively peaceful and happy existence, drastically reduce their ability to solve problems or manage crises, and psychically become a karmic magnet for attracting new and virtually more complex circumstances of hostility, aggression and suffering to experience, both as a victim and as an agent of evil.
